Here I am, sitting again in the papasan. Eating a bowl of spicy ramen (the good kind that cost 1$, not the 25ยข one) looking at someone else's pictures on A Year or So in Japan. The kids just got out of school for lunch time. They're walking on the snow mounds alond the street, which are in the middle of our front lawn really, about a meter away from the window, delighted at being 4 feet taller than usual and away from school for the time being, but probably not realising the winter break is next week. (I know I always forgot and was always surprise when my mother welcomed me home with a song about the greatness of vacations...)
I so wanna go to Japan too! I think it's actually a good enough reason to finish this darn engineering program. Now if only I could consentrate on studing for tomorrow's exam and not think of how nice it would be to be downtown, roaming aroud all those streets, checking out how many tourists have decided to use the, although cold, sunny day to discover Quebec city.
My own winter break is starting monday. But when in university, it's usually more of a 'get all that stuff that's late done' week, and than when you get back the following week, everyone acts all astonished that they really didn't get anything done, even if they left with nothing but good intentions.
I received my 'Pretty Guardian SailorMoon Moonlight Rod' from Honk Kong yesterday. I tried swinging it toward my school books, but it didn't turn them into moon dust, so I guess I got ripped off, and it doesn't really gets rid of evil. Oh well. It flashes with pretty colors, and the clerks at the post office were jealous of the stamps on the package.
I'm not sure, but I think there was a point to this entry when I started it. But I guess it got lost somewhere along the way. The two pictures I posted yesterday are taken from my favorite spot at university, where a few tables, with outlets to plug in laptops and a good strong wireless internet signal, were placed in front of a window that covers all three floors. It was snowing at the time, but my cellphone camera can't take good enough pictures to show that. But it's still nice to be able to take little pictures without anyone noticing.
